The Core XR 7 is a freeride and big air kite for riders who want plenty of pop and hangtime, but also value comfort and control. The XR line has been in development for 12 years and is a versatile kite. It suits beginners learning to ride upwind and trying their first jumps, as well as experienced riders looking for bigger, higher jumps.
The XR 7 offers a lot of power and a large depower range, so you can manage that power comfortably. It cruises upwind easily and has a large wind range. The five-strut construction is strong and stays stable in gusts. Short bridles give a direct feel, so you always know where the kite is in the wind window. With the CIT system (Core Intelligent Trim) you can set up the kite to your own preference, for example for wave, all-round or freestyle. It comes out of the bag in the all-round setting.
Compared to the XR 6, quite a lot has been updated. The XR 7 is the first kite to use the new CoreTex2 cloth, which is more tear resistant and more durable thanks to a new coating. The ExoTex Light Struts are new too: they save weight and offer a bit more flexibility. Together with small changes to the shape and bridles, this gives less weight, more direct feedback and faster turning speed.
This kite is new and available in 9 m, in black/white.
